OUR RECENT WORK

On this page, you’ll find a handful of recent examples of personal history / story capture projects our team has completed. We have plenty of other examples, including hundreds of interviews we’ve completed with corporate clients over the last 20 years (see more on the “team” page in the menu above), and private projects we cannot publish here.

01

PAM & GERRY

Completed in 2023, from an interview with the inseparable Pam and Gerry from Wānaka, this 90 minute video captures a delightful personal summary of this lovely couple’s life together. The end video incorporated their interview together, separate interviews walking around the garden, drone footage of their property and community, family photos and some other graphics to help tell their story

For privacy reasons, their video will not be posted online. Pam’s feedback was that they both enjoy watching the video together from time to time, and that they are so pleased to be able to leave this memory for their children and grandchildren.

02

TOM KEARNEY

We interviewed Tom and produced a one hour edit of his incredible story as part of the Extraordinary podcast series we produce.

In Tom Kearney’s house, the 18th of December each year is “Bus Day”.  That’s the date in 2009 Tom was hit by a 12 tonne Transport for London bendy-bus (Route 73) and flung to the side of Oxford Street bleeding out from his mouth and head. Against the odds, after being in a near-death Coma for a fortnight, Tom slowly rehabilitated and recovered. In this interview he talks about the crash, what it’s like being in a coma, having a Near Death Experience (NDE), and how this all changed his life – for the better.

You will find his interview here.

03

CARDRONA HERITAGE TRUST

In 2023/24, we worked on a community history project for the Cardrona Heritage Trust. The aim was to build phase one of a “digital history” of the Cardrona Valley. Previously, all of this information had been held by individuals on hard drives, photos in albums and shoe boxes, and in various other locations. There was no centralised collection. Today, phase one is complete, and the Cardrona Heritage Trail, a digital history of the valley with QR codes in various locations to link people to information, was born.

You can see the Cardrona Heritage Trail here.

04

DR JIM SALINGER

Also as part of our Extraordinary podcast series, we interviewed New Zealander of the year 2024, nobel peace prize winner and renowned climate scientist Dr Jim Salinger. The interview was a few weeks following the annoucement of the 2024 award.

From roughly 90 minutes with Jim, a one hour edited interview was produced. It covered a summary of his scientific work and his view on climate change.

You can listen to the interview here.
